Experience
Leslie Wright is a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend and community advocate who has lived in the Twin Cities since 2005. Leslie joined Mitchell Hamline as vice president for development and alumni relations in November 2020. She is responsible for the strategic leadership of the school’s fundraising priorities of the school and alumni engagement activities and events. She was director of external and community engagement at Greater Twin Cities United Way, where she led Culturally Powered Communities as well as representing the voice of community in the building and United Way’s voice in the community. She initially started her career in the hospitality industry where she worked for Marriott International for approximately 25 years in various cities and hotels and served as the senior vice president, sales and service for Meet Minneapolis, the official convention and visitors bureau for the City of Minneapolis.
Leslie is on the boards of World Savvy, the Metropolitan Alliance of Connected Communities, the Minnesota Chill Foundation, and YMCA of the North. She is also member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
She cares about the community and the people in it. She and her family live in Eden Prairie and are the proud parents of one son, Julian, who is a student athlete at Marquette University.
