In the spring of 2026, the Ramsey County Bar Foundation and Minnesota State Bar Foundation will each award $6,000 ($12,000 total) in scholarships to law students who contribute meaningfully to diversity in their community and have volunteer or paid work experience and/or interest in providing legal services to low-income Minnesotans.
The diversity scholarship program’s mission is to provide fair and equitable scholarship opportunities to local law students. Any student may apply, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability. The applicant must be a current Minnesota law school student and recipients are chosen based on resume (record of academic and professional achievement, leadership qualities through past work experience, community involvement and student activities) and responses to prompts focused on career growth and commitment to diversity.
