Joelle Lester, of the Public Health Law Center, took part in an meeting of the Community Advisory Board for ASPiRE (Advancing Science & Practice in the Retail Environment) to explore using science and law to advance tobacco retail practice. Joelle presented on broad types of retail policies, preemption and its impact on effective retail policy, and how local policy fits with federal regulation of tobacco products.
