Professor Eric Janus along with Prof. Feridun Yenisey of Bahcesehir University Law Faculty in Istanbul organized an international conference titled “Student Perspectives on the Future of Legal Education,” held via Zoom on August 31. Professor David Allen Larson was awarded a $1,500 mini grant from the Executive Committee of the NAA (National Academy of Arbitrators) Research and Education Foundation. Professor Larson applied for this grant to provide financial awards to MHSL students who write the best papers focused on preventing and resolving employment disputes involving persons with disabilities.

Professor Thaddeus Pope testified as an expert witness at trial in the California State Bar Court (Nos. 16-0-17407 and 16-0-17437). The case questioned whether county lawyers should have challenged the authority of patient’s healthcare agent.
