Mitchell Hamline is committed to providing equal access and stives to create a culture of inclusion. If you are hosting an event and would like to request a sign language interpreter, please use this form below. Disability Services has an existing agreement with a sign language interpreting service and can assist with arranging sign language interpreters for campus events.
Requests for interpreters should be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. If a request is received less than two weeks prior to the event, every effort will be made to full the request, however availability of interpreters may be limited. The earlier an interpreter request is submitted, the more likely the request will be able to be fulfilled.

Interpreter Rate: will depend on interpreting agency
- There is a two-hour minimum.
- Time will be billed in 15-minute increments after minimum time has elapsed.
- Any event lasting more then 1hr requires a second interpreter.
Cancellation: Sign language interpreter services will bill the appropriate rate for the entire scheduled time for any assignment that is cancelled with less than 48 business hours notice.
