Does v. Simi Valley et al, No. 12- cv–8377 (C.D. Cal. 2012)
Nature of Case: Plaintiffs, group of individuals required to register and their families, brought suit alleging unconstitutionality of California city ordinance that required, inter alia the posting of a sign on the exterior of their respective residences on Halloween that indicated there was no candy at that residence.
Holding: Trial Court granted Plaintiffs’ application for a temporary restraining order. Plaintiff’s demonstrated a strong likelihood of success on the merits and an irreparability of harm if TRO did not issue.
